New Park Path Construction Starting Soon!

At the 4/9/24 Board of Trustees meeting, the Board voted unanimously to award a bid for Phase II of the non-motorized trail system at the Community Park to Fonson Company, Inc.. The contractor is able (and excited) to get started right away.  There will soon be equipment and materials being placed on site. Barriers and notices will be posted throughout the park advising folks to stay away from the areas under construction. The driveway, parking lot, and existing paved trail will remain open and accessible during construction of the new path, as well as the open park area to the north.

The contractor will stage west of the paved parking area and behind the post office site. Once they complete the job, additional gravel and grading will be brought in to provide an enlarged parking area to improve access and accommodate future park events such as the Farmers Market, fireworks, etc.  All work at the park for this exciting project will be complete in advance of the Farmers Market opening, which starts June 2nd.

There will be limited access to existing walking trails and the disc golf course during construction.  The project is expected to be complete in the next 3-4 weeks!
