Independence Day Parade
Gather all your friends and family and come down to Main Street for the parade! Enjoy a patriotic and festive display of fire trucks, floats, decorated bicycles and more! This year's theme: America's Family - Heart of our Community.
The Parade starts at 10:00am on Barker Road and proceeds south down Main Street ending at the Public Safety Building (8350 Main St.).
To be a part of the parade, please submit a Parade Registration Form. Sponsored by Kiwanis Club of Whitmore Lake.
Root Beer Float Social
Join us after the parade at the Northfield Township Community Center (9101 Main St.) and enjoy a refreshing Root Beer Float along with Music from the 50's & 60's by “FAST EDDIE!” Floats will be served until supplies run out!
Banana Split Eating Contest
Starting at 3:00pm, Contestants in six age groups will devour banana splits for prizes in this tasty event. Enjoy a refreshing ice cream treat and cheer for your favorite banana split eater! Sign up on July 4th between 2:00 and 3:00 to participate. Cost: $2.00. Space is limited.

Boat Parade of Lights
Don't miss this beautiful parade of lighted boats on Whitmore Lake. To enter, decorate your boat with festive lights and line up in front of Mac's Marina at 9:30 pm (FREE). Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd! For more info, contact Sam at Mac's Marina (734) 449-4706

Dance Pro DJ
Enjoy Summertime Music by the Lake across from the Whitmore Lake Post Office from 7:00PM to 10:00PM! Come and dance or just listen to the music while you're waiting for the fireworks to begin. Games! Fun! Prizes!
Fireworks
Enjoy a thrilling and patriotic fireworks display set off at dusk from the center of Whitmore Lake! Rain date is Sunday, July 7. Vendors will be on site. This show is solely funded and made possible by donations from our community.
