Upcoming Events:

County Clean-Up Day

Northfield Township's Annual Washtenaw County Clean-up Day is scheduled for Saturday, June 26, 2020 from 9:00am-1:00pm at the Whitmore Lake High School located at 7430 Whitmore Lake Rd.  

Long wait times can be expected.  Gates will CLOSE AT 1:00 sharp!  We reserve the right to cut the line due to safety or time concerns. 

More details will be posted as information becomes available.  This event is subject to change or cancellation due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Updates will be posted on the Washtenaw County website.  Please check the website for event specific information and updates prior to the event Washtenaw.org/cleanup.

This event is for Washtenaw County residents ONLY.  Sorry, but we cannot accept materials from businesses or out-of-county residents.

4th of July Festivities

At this time we are planning for the following festivities for 4th of July.  All of these events are tentative and subject to change or cancellation as needed or required by COVID health guidelines or other restrictions.  Updates will be posted.

Red, White & Blue Color Run
June 26 
Join us for the 5K/10K Red, White & Blue Color Run in Whitmore Lake.  This is a color run!  Most of the color throwers will be along the 5k route, overlapping with the 10k at a few spots on your way back. Sign up Here.

July 2 at dusk

The annual Whitmore Lake fireworks show could not happen each year without the support from our amazing community.  If you are able, please consider donating your time or funding to help make our display the greatest show possible.

Donations: The Whitmore Lake fireworks are fully funded by community donations.  Please consider donating or supporting one of our fundraising efforts like our gun raffle, 50/50 raffle or Kroger Community Rewards (Organization Number VL346.). Volunteers Needed:  

  • Barge Guards - Spend an hour boating around the Fireworks Barge, maintaining the safety perimeter.  Boaters, please note a portion of the lake will be closed during this fireworks event to keep people and boats clear of the explosives.  Please note the buoys and keep away from the barge.
  • Parking - assisting with parking at designated locations and collecting contributions.
  • Clean Up - to assist on Saturday, July 3, 2021.
