Play Path Bench Survey

Play Path Bench Survey

If you were not able to stop by at Trunk-or-Treat and fill out our survey for the Play Path, you're in luck!  The survey is available at the Township Office, Community Center and Library for your convenience!  Or you can take a look at the survey here, and send your responses in via email!

What is the survey for?  Northfield Township received a grant from KaBOOM! and the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation to transform the Non-Motorized Path along Barker Road into the Barker Road Play Path.  The plan for the Play Path is to install play elements on and along the pathway beginning at 75 Barker and continuing all the way to the Whitmore Lake Elementary School.  These plans* include a mural under the US-23 overpass, musical instruments at the elementary school, games such as hopscotch and tic-tac-toe at various locations along the path, and a large chalkboard at the library.  (* Some of these plans are still be worked out and may be subject to change before the final project is completed)

Because it is quite a ways from one end to the other (approximately 1 mile!) we would also like to install a few benches along the way.  That's where you come in!  We are surveying the community to see what kind of benches they would like to see along the Play Path.  We appreciate everyone's input, and hope to be installing the benches this spring.
