Main Street could get an A-list upgrade.
This "Shark Tank" Star Wants To Help One Small Town Get a $500,000 Makeover
Whitmore Lake has the chance to win a $500,000 Main Street make-over. Shark Tank's Robert Herjavec has partnered with the Deluxe Corporation for the Small Business Revolution Main Street project. Together, they plan to make-over a winning small town, breathing new life into its businesses. The first lucky town to get the half a million dollar transformation was Wabash, IN. (See their story on countryliving.com) Let's make Whitmore Lake the next winner!
Our Township Manager was able to speak with an individual from the project to find out how they chose their candidates. While the individual was not able to say exactly how the small towns are chosen, he gleaned from the conversation that the more submissions the town had, the more noticeable they became to the project.
