Northfield Township is now hiring a Controller

$45-$50/hr

Part-time, 20 hrs/wk, excluding benefits. 

The Township Controller is responsible for: keeping Township Financial Records in good order; working directly with Department Heads in preparation of the Annual Budget; monitoring budget data; overseeing year-end audit; reconciling bank statements and investment accounts; assisting Treasurer with tax disbursements; preparing settlement statements.

Must have experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.  Must be proficient in producing spreadsheets to support account reconciliations and be able to effectively communicate those results.  Must be a self-starter with excellent customer service skills, high level of integrity, and ability to work in a fast paced environment.  Also must possess basic computer skills, excellent written & oral communication, excellent math skills, and meticulous attention to detail.

Required:            Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
                          5+ years experience
                          

Preferred (not required):       Experience with Governmental Fund Accounting
                                          Experience with BS&A software
